While I am still in the dress-up state of mind here is a bear beanie I made. Actually I made two of these this week. My nephew is turning two (already?!) and I wanted to make one for him...but at the fabric store my son saw what I was planning to make and pleaded that he have one too. And so that was that, two were made.
The pattern was from Cucito - 2012 Winter and Early Spring edition. The beanie is made from fleece with a cotton lining. I really wanted a brown fur but I just couldn't get one suitable. The felt eyes, nose and mouth are hand-stitched on. You can't tell in the photo's, but the nose area is filled with toy-fill fibre to make the face more 3D. He's just turned five and so to him it's obviously still ok to wear a bear on your head. The last beanie I made for him was dinosaur spikes. I wonder what next winter will bring?! :)
