I love this vintage style skirt with the attached apron and big pockets. The polk-a-dot skirt is just a rectangle, twice as big as her waist. The apron width was the same size as the front skirt panel, but I decided to gather it in slightly from the sides, and then last but not least, attached the waistband. I used a decorative stitch on the top of the pockets. First time, so the curves aren't all uniform because I wasn't feeding it into the machine evenly. Don't look too closely :) But, the big pockets are definately the winner in her little brown eyes! Everything I make has to have pockets for all her little treasures!
And did I mention, it is a terrific dancing and twirling skirt!
