I think he's getting used to the photo-shoots!!! These poses were completely his idea - I was going for the "stand up tall and smile" pose....so judging by this shoot, I think he's a bit more creative than me! Ha!
The pattern for this top came from the Japanese magazine Cucito (2011 Autumn edition). It's a light weight stretch knit material, very soft and perfect for this time of year. I accidently cut the shoulder panels the wrong way, but I like how the lines run vertically in that section only, so I might just disguise that as an on-purpose design feature. I cut out a size 100, but I had to lengthen the sleeves and bottom hem line. The top fitted perfectly other than that.
I learnt a new technique too...instead of using an unappealing zig zag stitch to allow the hems to stretch, you can use a double needle which will achieve the same thing, and it looks alot nicer.
