....well my mum atleast! I made the drape skirt from Drape Drape Vol 2 but not without a little frustration. I didn't gather the skirt enough at the top so I was winding it around and around my waist and thinking "this just ain't working!". My mum took one look and said "gather more and wrap just once". So after a whole afternoon of unpicking and re-sewing and then alot more gathering - the skirt worked! Yay! And it was worth all the effort because it looks great. I will post some pic's soon.
I also found time last week to make two "pillowcase" dresses as thank you presents for two little girls. Their mum's gave me some hand-me-down clothes for my daughter. The pattern was from the Ottobre magazine and had a bit more shape to it than a the standard pillowcase dress, but just as easy. They turned out really nice. Unfortunately for the girls, they have the same material because my kids were going crazy in the fabric store and I just didn't have the time to find more suitable material. Can anyone sympathise with me, how hard it is to move around a fabric store with two kids in a pram and long fabric rolls tucked under your arm?! The thing of nightmares, ha ha ha!!
